
Recycled Base Oil
ZUMRUT INT KIMIYA RC base oil, also known as reclaimed base oil or re-refined base oil, is a petroleum product that has undergone a process to remove impurities and contaminants from previously used oil. This process involves refining the used oil to restore its lubricating properties, making it suitable for reuse in various industrial applications such as lubricants, hydraulic fluids, and automotive oils. re-refined base oil helps reduce the demand for virgin crude oil and minimizes environmental impact by diverting used oil from disposal and reducing the need for new oil production.
Additionally, limited availability of feedstock required for the manufacture of virgin oil is driving the need for use of recycled base oil. Producing base oil from crude oil is an energy-intensive process.
A refinery needs to process 100 gallons of crude oil in order to produce one gallon of base oil. On the other hand, only 1.4 gallons of used oil is sufficient to manufacture one gallon of base oil. This makes recycling of used oil a fairly viable process for base oil manufacturing.
Uses of re-refined base oil:
RC base oil has various uses across different industries, including:
